On Kayak

In this part of Norway, I am truly surrounded by an amazing nature. Unfortunately I don't really feel I have enjoyed it as much as I could, but on the other hand - high mountains and deep fjords just aren't the same in darkness and rain - and those two things we have more than enough of up here(270 days of rain).

However, I took a break from the studying and packing yesterday - and went on a kayaking trip with my Spanish teacher. It was an amazing trip, and despite the very bad weather forecast the weather actually turned out to be really nice. How lucky.
(The first picture shows how we started)

We went all the way out through Flekke-fjord, which is the fjord in which the school is located(I mean its not located IN the fjord -but right next to). And then continues left towards Dale, being the nearest city big enough to contain a bookstore.

On the way we went by fish farm, where they "make" salmon. Very interesting in fact.

The nature in general was just stunning. I haven't often experienced anything like that - and especially as a Dane, it's really fascinating to kayaking surrounded by major mountains.

I'll post a few more pictures in the end.

Other than that, the last time has been very weird. My corner feels very impersonal and empty. I've taken down all decorations, and I have packed most of my stuff down in suitcases, for not to talk about all the stuff I've passed on to first years.
Tomorrow will be a crazy day - wake up, more packing, saying goodbye to people, writing in people's yearbook - and then in my case - Spanish exam. After the exam we have approx. 1½ hour before we are going to the Graduation Dinner. It'll be very weird.

Anyways. I promised some pictures - here they come:

The Act of Keeping Alive.

I Survived! I managed to survive! Amazing. These past weeks I have studied like hell. Never before in my life have I studied so much.

The past week I labelled "Week of Hell", due to the fact that I had exams everyday, and 2 exams yesterday(Thursday).

Last weekend I studied math more than 15 hours a day, and yesterday night (after 2,5 hours history exam in the morning and 2,5 hours chemistry exam in the afternoon), I stayed up until 4.30 to study for Chemistry paper 3.
After less than 3 hours of sleep I took the exam this morning, and fortunately the questions we're brilliant.

So yeah, I never thought this day should come, but I'm done with the most Academically intense week of my life. Studying everyday intensively until 2-3, waking up doing exams, and continuing studying. Studying at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Trying to cram in as much information as can be in a head.

Now, I've only got Danish and Spanish left, and there ain't much you can do for neither subject.
So, my plan is not - to chill!!! And enjoy my last days at uwc..how sad.

But right now I'm just happy to be over with all the exams.

Never more math

I believe there is no need for more words.

Never more math.

I am in the middle of "Week of Hell".

The IB is a system that enjoys to torture students.
Except for in Denmark the IB is thus very well recognised around the world.
A good example of this is: Math Methods.
I just finished my paper 2 today.
Math Methods is a killer for all Nordics. Mainly because Math education stinks in the Nordic Countries.

Anyway - it is equivalent to math B in danish High schools. WTF? Methods is at least 10 times more difficult than math A.
And IB Math Higher ought to be the same as math A++ in Danish High schools.

Ok - I've got History coming up tomorrow and Thursday, as well as Chemistry Thursday and Friday.

I'm going to have so much fun:-)........NOT!.

Well, back to the books..
